James’s career – which spans academia, start-ups, and top tech companies – began in 1986 as the first computer science graduate hired by the FBI. An alumni of IBM, Ericsson, SAP, Cisco, Google, and Microsoft, James was also a full professor at Florida Tech and built a research startup acquired by Raytheon.

While at Google, he led teams on Chrome, Maps, and Google+. At Microsoft, he led efforts on Bing and Cortana, and became the go-to guy when customers wanted to see a compelling and realistic view of the future of man and machine.
