What excites you about being part of the Cherre family?
I love the excitement and passion everyone has, for their work and for the team! It is refreshing to be a part of a company that truly cares about the people and culture! I have gone through a few personal struggles since I joined and those around me have asked “how can I support you?” and I know that question runs deeper than just my work tasks. That kind of culture is so rare and I feel lucky and excited to be a part of it!!
At Cherre, we are all snow leopards – what are you working on and what makes you unique?
I love my role because I get a little bit of everything each day. It is literally never a dull day! One minute I am scheduling a high priority meeting for L.D. and then the next I am working on a vendor order, and everything in between. I also coordinate the interviews for recruiting so I really enjoy being the first contact with potentially new coworkers and walking with them through the interview process. I love supporting others– if you have a question or problem, I will do everything in my power to find an answer or solution. My role enables me to support and communicate with everyone in the company!
How do you give back to the community to change our world for the better?
I unfortunately have not made regular time to give back to my community in a tangible way. It is one of my personal goals in the very near future to find my niche here in my current home away from home. As a military spouse, a lot of things take to the back burner but 2021 has been my year to reclaim what excites me, including volunteering my time!! Although, one of my biggest pet peeves is litter– I will literally walk down a sidewalk and pick up the random trash along the way. So I guess that is my very small way I work towards making our world a “cleaner” place 🙂
What keeps you curious and engaged to grow personally/professionally?
I love a good challenge– physically/mentally/emotionally. I might be a little hesitant to take on something out of my comfort zone at first, but give me a few minutes to digest and I will dig in. I’ve had some of my greatest growth moments when I went for a challenge 100% out of my comfort zone!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy running, lifting weights, cycling, hiking, pretty much any outdoor activity. My husband is slowly getting me into Disc Golf, so we will see where that takes us. My greatest joy is spending time with my almost 2 year old daughter and my husband though! They keep my life exciting and ever-changing.
What is the last book you read/movie you watched?
I just started reading How You Can Negotiate to Succeed in Work and Life: Getting More by Stuart Diamond. Last movie I watched was Beethoven– a fun throwback to my childhood 🙂
If your life were being turned into a movie, who would play you or narrate your story?
Jennifer Lawrence. She is hilarious, true to herself, and takes no **** from anyone! Although if we were going with narration, I’d have to go with Morgan Freeman, because let’s be honest, no one narrates quite like he does!!!!
