What excites you about being part of the Cherre family?
Cherre gives me much freedom to explore what I am passionate about. Everything here is new and challenging, which makes me keep thinking and learning, and constantly growing. The collaborative culture here also drives me to keep hunger for new techniques.
At Cherre, we are all snow leopards – what are you working on and what makes you unique?
Data Engineering team’s work includes data ingestion, ETL, and publishing based on client’s requirements. My personal goal for my career is to be a full stack data person, and be expert in one specific area in the data world. Hopefully this learning direction can help me deepen my understanding of how to build a successful data product from different perspectives.
How do you give back to the community to change our world for the better?
I hosted a TEDx event when I was in college. I’m not good at sharing my knowledge through speech, but I am willing to build a community where people can share ideas and get inspiration.
What keeps you curious and engaged to grow personally/professionally?
People around me always keep learning and bringing new ideas. Also I would like to recommend some youtubers’ videos like 3blue1brown. Super high quality tech videos.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Hiking and making videos. I have a drone, and when I go to a new place I usually take it with me to shoot videos. I am also learning some cool camera movement techniques.
What is the last book you read/movie you watched?
Tenet by Christopher Nolan.
If your life were being turned into a movie, who would play you or narrate your story?
Maybe Aurora Aksnes. She’s my favorite singer from Norway and her hairstyle is always so cool.
