Last year, The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) launched its inaugural Hackathon during New York Real Estate Tech Week, which has given way to what moving forward will be known as the REBNY PropTech Challenge. In this challenge, innovative technology companies will come together to present their solutions to some of the biggest issues we face in the Real Estate industry today. Competitors compete for a $50,000 grand prize in four challenge categories, with one making it through as the final challenge winner. We are happy to announce that for the 2018 PropTech Challenge, Cherre will be participating as data sponsors!
In the 2017 challenge, not only were we lucky enough to participate in this new tradition, we made our way through to the final ‘Gauntlet Challenge’. Cherre created a system that allowed users to uncover inaccurate property values in the New York real estate market, and it brought us home the winning award for the ‘Open Hack’ category.
Participating in last year’s challenge was an incredible experience, in which we got to work side by side with world class technologists passionate about solving New York City’s toughest real estate problems. We are looking forward to participating this year and seeing what solutions this year’s participants bring to the table.
