Raising the Bar: Moving From Data Collection and Connection, to Data Observability, Quality, and Confidence

As we reflect on the first half of 2024, we are so proud of the growth, transformation, and evolution of Cherre. Some of you may remember that Cherre started with a very ambitious mission: Connect all real estate data. Over the past eight years, we’ve gone from the core of connecting real estate data, to making connected data moveable, model-ready, measurable, and mineable for the insights that lead to tomorrow’s competitive advantage. 

The past six months alone have been a wild ride of growth, innovation, and acceleration of the mission we started with. Join us as we look back at the biggest milestones from the first half of the year. 

A Robust Growth Trajectory

Our financial performance for the first half of the year reflects our accelerating growth trajectory. We saw a remarkable 36.2% increase in revenue quarter-over-quarter with Q2 coming in at a 42.8% increase year-over-year. All in, our revenue for the first half of 2024 grew by 34.3% year-over-year. 

We added 16 new clients in the first half of the year, with four signed on to leverage our newest solution, the Data Submission Portal (DSP) clients. The rapid adoption of our next-gen DSP underscores the industry demand for a solution that streamlines and automates third-party data submissions while also providing a layer of intelligence over submission processes that can lead to increasing operational efficiencies. 

A Nod to Our Product Innovation

Innovation remains at the heart of Cherre’s success and is a cornerstone of our growth. Since launching the next generation of our Data Submission Portal (DSP), we’ve continued to expand functionality leading to the DSP becoming our fastest-adopted product. We’ve had solid interest in the DSP from some of the largest, global real estate organizations. We even won a Realcomm Digie Award for Best Technology Innovation in CRE, beating out a CRE document abstraction solution, and a resident lifecycle automation tool. 

At our Data Summit (third year!), we launched our new UI for our data observability and validation features, giving our clients visibility into all the things that happen “behind the scenes” on the Cherre Platform. The Cherre UI provides clients with direct access to manage their data pipelines and validation rules, enabling them to improve their data quality and promote data confidence across the organization. 

Coupled with the data observability and validation features, we’ve expanded our BI capabilities with more reporting and dashboard options within Microsoft PowerBI. Now clients can leverage the in-depth features of PowerBI to report on their trusted data and make decisions with confidence. Finally, we added Azure and Google BigQuery to our egress capabilities, giving our clients more flexibility to leverage their existing data architecture.

Cherre is All Grown Up (Kind Of)

As we scale, Cherre has made strategic shifts to drive organizational maturity across the entire team. This includes implementing a new self-service customer success portal to further empower clients, maturing our PMO function to build and leverage consistent standardized onboarding methodology, baselining plans and detailed status reporting that our enterprise clients expect. This has both improved our efficiency in onboarding and our client’s experience.

We’ve  added more industry experience to our team at every level, and structured internal workstreams to be composed of Fusion Teams. This has increased cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations, and continue to mature as an organization. By fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, we have built a team that is not only skilled but also deeply committed to our mission. This cultural foundation is reflected in our hiring practices, our 360 performance reviews, and the emphasis on values that drive every aspect of our operations​.

The journey from a start-up to a mature SMB has been both challenging and rewarding. Our ability to innovate, adapt, and grow in the face of industry challenges speaks volumes about our resilience and vision. As we move forward into the second half of 2024, we remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the real estate data industry.
