This week we had the privilege to speak on the main stage at the RESO 2017 Fall Conference about residential real estate valuation models. Valuation models are notoriously inaccurate, and rely on heuristic data to compensate for lack of reliable underlying data. Previous endeavors to bridge this gap have been costly and unsuccessful, as they relied on manual collection and resolution of data. However, today we can overcome legacy challenges, and companies such as CompStack and VTS are revolutionizing the Commercial Real Estate market. Together with our partners, we are doing the same in the residential market.
We have tremendous respect for Jeremy and the team at RESO’s work on helping to standardize the industry and bring order to some of the chaos that exists from multiple disparate systems. It’s not an easy challenge, but having managed to bring onboard the largest and most influential players in the industry, RESO is leading the way in making real estate data more transparent and accessible to the entire industry.
We had a great time with our close partners Stratus and The Real Estate Board of New York, and we can’t wait for next year!
