Today we are proud to announce that Cherre is joining the Dreamit Ventures family! Since its founding in 2008, Dreamit has backed nearly 300 startups including SeatGeek, HouseParty, LevelUp, Adaptly, Wellth, Biomeme, Tissue Analytics, Redox, Eko Devices, Raxar, and Elevate. Its portfolio companies have gone on to raise around $800 million in follow-on funding, and have a combined value of nearly $2 billion. Recently, Dreamit started to focus on urban tech, and after raising its latest dedicated fund from leading LPs, including real estate investor and Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik, we felt that they would be a great partner for Cherre’s next phase of growth.
Cherre is joining a small group of really successful PropTech companies such as Ipsum, Kognition, MyComply, and TRAXyL – that are all working to make a difference in really big markets. We has the privilege to spend some time with Lakshmi Shenoy, who runs the new Tampa Innovation Hub at Channelside Bay Plaza (she’s hiring btw!), as well as with Steve Fifita, Chief Digital Office at Strategic Property Partners – a partnership with Cascade Investments (Bill Gates’ fund), who is responsible for building the new 9 million SQFT Water Street Project.
